Turin gluten free

This substance, present in common cereals, can be poison for those suffering from celiac disease, but in the city there are more and more places that also think of this clientele

For a celiac person, eating outside the home can be a real challenge. In fact, cafés and restaurants not always meet the needs of those who are intolerant to gluten who, in the best cases, have no choice but to eat half a head of salad, watching with envy the diners around eating much more tasty dishes.
To ensure that no one feels excluded, Turin offers a wide range of cafés and gluten-free bars: here is a short specially designed guide.

BREAKFAST
La Madia, located in the neighborhood of San Salvario, in via Ormea 160/A, is the ideal place for breakfast or a snack. This is an artisan workshop that offers sweet and savory products strictly gluten-free and lactose-free; those who come here often recommend the Sacher cake.
Another place is the Café & Patisserie: very close to the Olympic Stadium, precisely in via Filadelfia 113/B. It offers a wide range of sweet and savory food: muffins, cream doughnuts, lasagna and fresh bread. It is therefore also ideal for a lunch break.

LUNCH AND DINNER
In via Conte Verde 7/A, in the heart of the Quadrilatero neighborhood, you can find Panperfocaccia. From starters to desserts, the dishes are tasty and refined, but a note of credit certainly goes to the pizza, which is usually a mirage for those who are celiac.
For the lovers of fast food, a must is M** Bun, an hamburger shop that offers top quality products derived exclusively from the territory of Piedmont. To taste their dishes you simply need to go to via Rattazzi 4 or to corso Siccardi 8/A. Among sandwiches with Fassone meat or chicken, various types of cheese and typical seasonal vegetables, there is something for everyone, including vegans.

DELICACIES
Especially in late spring or summer, the desire for ice cream becomes urgent. Where can a celiac person who doesn’t want to give up the cone go? One option is certainly Grom, an ice cream chain founded in Turin which has become famous both in Italy and abroad. Their flavors are wheat flour free and raw materials, recipes and production processes are approved by Aic (Italian Celiac Association).
Other two valid alternatives are Il Gelato Amico (via San Massimo 34), which offers products designed also for lactose intolerants, and the Yogurteria Fyo. The latter is located right in the city centre, in via Palazzo di Città 6, and is the ideal place for the most gluttonous celiac people, who will find not only yoghurt, but also milkshakes and well stuffed crepes.
